Evil Live ‘lands’ in Restelo with Judas Priest, Korn, and Slipknot

The Evil Live festival, organized by Prime Artists and formerly known as VOA – Heavy Rock, makes its debut at Restelo after two editions at the MEO Arena in Lisbon.

Today, gates open at 3:00 PM, with concerts commencing an hour later featuring the Portuguese band R.A.M.P., celebrating 35 years. They are followed by two generations of American ‘thrash’ with performances from Death Angel and Municipal Waste.

The evening concludes with the return of Swiss band Triptykon, led by Thomas Gabriel Fischer, and British legends Judas Priest, who released their 19th album, ‘Invincible Shield,’ last year and are marking the 35th anniversary of the classic ‘Painkiller’.

On Saturday, the day starts again with a Portuguese band, Bizarra Locomotiva, followed by performances from American bands Seven Hours After Violet and Eagles of Death Metal, before the Swedish band Opeth takes the stage.

From 8:20 PM, the German Till Lindemann, Rammstein’s vocalist, performs, and the night closes with the American band Korn.

The final day opens with Portuguese bands Faemine and Gaerea, succeeded by the Japanese band Crossfaith and the Ukrainian band Jinjer.

The festival continues with American band Falling in Reverse, preceding fellow countrymen Slipknot, who close the event after having previously appeared at the 2023 edition of Evil Live.

In a December announcement, with Slipknot revealed as the first headliner for Evil Live, the organizers promised to “raise the bar even higher [in 2025]” and that “the transition to Estádio do Restelo, an outdoor venue capable of hosting masses of fans, reflects this ambition and ensures an environment conducive to enjoying memorable performances.”

According to the event’s website, daily tickets are priced at 69 euros for today and 79 euros for the subsequent two days, while a ticket for all three days costs 169 euros. There is also a ticket available for Saturday and Sunday for 139 euros.

Children up to 12 years enter for free but must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

The first edition of Evil Live was held in 2023 with Pantera and Slipknot as main highlights at the then Altice Arena, followed by an edition featuring Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, and Megadeth, among others.
