The Polícia Judiciária welcomed, today, at its headquarters in Lisbon, the visit of the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Mr. Christopher Wray, accompanied by several FBI specialists, as well as the Ambassador of the United States of America in Portugal, Mrs. Randi Levine.
In this meeting in Portugal, which had not taken place since the 1980’s, the contours of the solid and structured relationship of international police cooperation between the FBI and the Polícia Judiciária were discussed, the main transnational criminal phenomena were analyzed, and lines of joint action for the future were outlined.
Present, from Portugal, were the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Internal Administration, as well as the Secretary of the Internal Security System.
The National Director of the Judiciary Police, as the host, was accompanied by the other elements of the National Directorate, in addition to the heads of the areas of Combating Cybercrime, Counter Terrorism, Combating Drug Trafficking and Corruption.
The agenda included a working meeting between the two delegations, followed by an informal lunch.
