
The British musician and band are set to return to Portugal, specifically Leiria, for performances on August 21, the opening day of the festival. This development was announced by the association Fade In, which released a lineup featuring a diverse array of international acts from various independent music genres.
In addition to England, the Extramuralhas festival will host artists from France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Belgium, the United States, Turkey, Poland, Greece, and Portugal.
On August 21, the performances in Leiria will include Sophia Djebel Rose (France), Matt Elliott (England/France), And Also The Trees (England), SIIE (Germany/Switzerland), Then Comes Silence (Sweden), and Lovataraxx (France).
The schedule for the second day, August 22, features Fagelle (Sweden/Germany), Pink Opake (Brazil), Darkways (Spain), Bärlin (France), Keeley Forsyth (England), La Boum Brute (France), Suicide Commando (Belgium), and Syzygyx (United States).
The festival concludes on August 23 with performances by Ece Canli (Turkey/Portugal), So Dead (Portugal), Tilly Electronics (Germany), Decline and Fall (Portugal), Minuit Machine (France), Nnhnm (Poland/Germany), and Doric (Greece).
The events will be held at various venues, including the Jardim Luís de Camões, Centro de Diálogo Intercultural – Igreja da Misericórdia, and Stereogun.
The festival will also feature a documentary dedicated to Meredith Monk, titled “Monk in Pieces,” at the Teatro Miguel Franco.
Prior to Extramuralhas, Fade In will organize a special episode of the FadeIn Festival on July 5, featuring concerts by Psyclon Nine and Antania from the United States, and Pretty Addicted from the United Kingdom, taking place at Stereogun in Leiria.
Starting in May, Fade In will launch another initiative: the Cycle of Portuguese Exploratory Music.
The first event of the fifth edition will commence with performances by Druuna Jaguar, Jorge Mantas, and Moura, a project by Pedro Moura and Bruna de Moura, on May 17 at the Centro de Diálogo Intercultural de Leiria – Igreja da Misericórdia.
Running through November, the cycle will bring SAS Orkestra de Rádios, Ricardo Jacinto, Beautify Junkyards, Polido, Lantana, Sonic Figures Project, Clothilde, and B-A-Bás to Leiria.
