
A 50-year-old man died early Thursday morning after being stabbed in Belas, Sintra, following an altercation.
This information was confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto by the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (Cometlis).
The man was taken by family members to Hospital Prof. Doutor Fernando (Amadora-Sintra) but succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities explained the injuries were inflicted near the shoulder blade with a “large bladed weapon.”
The suspect, according to the same source, is on the run, and another man was injured during the confrontation, suffering a head injury. He was taken to Hospital de São Francisco Xavier.
Besides the Public Security Police, the Judiciary Police was also called to the scene.
