Olympic gymnast Filipa Martins qualified today for the final of the asymmetrical parallel bars event at the Doha World Cup, to be held on Friday.
In her first event this season, the Portuguese gymnast advanced to the group of finalists with the fifth best record, with 13.366 points in a round led by Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour, with 15.400.
Filipa Martins will also compete on the beam on Thursday.
After the World Cups in Cairo, Cottbus and Baku, this is the last chance for world gymnasts to achieve Olympic qualification points for Paris2024, where Filipa Martins will compete in the all around competition.
