
“We do not yet have the final results, but we already know that we have elected candidates for the Porto Municipal Assembly and some parishes, but not for the executive. Above all, we respect the vote of the people of Porto. We will fulfill all the commitments they entrust to us,” he promised.
In front of a campaign headquarters filled with supporters, he acknowledged that “these were not the results I expected,” yet he reminded that his team’s priority “will always be Porto.”
“We conducted a different campaign, speaking face to face with people on the streets. We spoke truthfully and with respect. We made no promises, but we committed to clear, real, and rigorous pledges,” he added.
The candidate also praised the “spirit of unity and joy” within his team, which included about 300 candidates on his lists, “with very diverse professional backgrounds, many having never been involved in a candidacy before,” and he thanked all those who believed in an independent and transparent project.
