Do you know how much you are entitled to receive for family allowance or sickness benefit? Social Security has introduced new simulators that show the specific amount to be received in each case.
“The first specific simulators are now available, providing an estimated benefit amount based on the information entered by the citizen,” Social Security announced in its August newsletter.
These simulations, it explains, “with associated calculations, allow for advanced knowledge of rights and the ability to plan future situations.”
“The simulation can be started directly in the area where the simulators are located or followed by a general simulation that then directs to the specific simulation,” Social Security continues.
The organization believes these simulators “represent another step in delivering useful and transparent information to citizens, increasing their confidence in Social Security.” It also adds that the “next simulators to be made available are the Maternity and Unemployment simulators.”
Family Allowance Simulator
“This is the simulator that provides access to the probable benefit amount to be granted for Family Allowance for Children and Youth,” according to the Social Security website. You can access here.
The benefits considered in the simulator are as follows:
- Family Allowance for Children and Youth
- Bonus for Family Allowance for Children and Youth with Disabilities
- Childhood Guarantee
Sickness Simulator
“This is the simulator that provides access to the probable benefit amount to be granted for sickness benefits,” Social Security states. You can access here.
The benefits considered in the simulator are as follows:
- Sickness Benefit
- Allowance for Childcare
- Allowance for Grandchild Care
- Allowance for Caring for Children with Disabilities, Chronic Illness, or Oncological Illness
Keep in mind that “if you live, work, or have worked abroad, the results of this simulation may not accurately reflect your specific situation.”
Additionally, the “benefits shown in the simulation results relate to the person conducting the simulation and their dependents. For other household members to know the benefits they may be entitled to, such as unemployment benefits, they should run their own simulation.”
What Benefits and Subsidies Are You Entitled To? Social Security Launches Simulator
It is worth noting that Social Security has already announced the launch of a simulator that reveals which social supports or subsidies one may be entitled to. “This is a new digital tool aimed at simplifying access to information about available social benefits,” explains the Institute of Social Security (ISS).
“With an intuitive operation, the simulator allows the citizen to find out quickly and easily which social benefits they may potentially be entitled to, based on the data entered, with the result not being binding,” the ISS further explains.

The new Social Security simulator allows citizens to quickly and easily know which social benefits they may potentially be entitled to.
