
The fire at the factory in Vales do Rio, Covilhã, Castelo Branco district, has been under control since 10:00 PM, with emergency personnel completing their tasks at the scene, according to a representative from the Sub-Regional Command of Beiras and Serra da Estrela.
The National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) reported that as of 08:55 AM, 42 operatives and 17 vehicles were present at the location.
The alarm for the blaze, which broke out at the factory in Vales do Rio, was raised at 3:02 PM on Thursday, and by 6:58 PM, the fire had been declared under control.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been reported in connection to this incident.
Firefighters from the brigades of Covilhã, Castelo Branco, Belmonte, Fundão, Guarda, Gonçalo, and Famalicão da Serra were involved in the efforts to extinguish the fire.
