A fire alert at the bar of the Academic Association of the University of Minho was issued at 6:30 PM, and within 15 minutes, it had been extinguished, stated Nuno Osório, noting that “there are no reports of injuries.”
As of 7:10 PM, the Public Security Police (PSP) remained on the scene to continue investigations.
In the early hours of Saturday, a disorder that led to a fatality occurred around 5:30 AM, during which, according to a PSP source, the victim suffered a serious stabbing injury in a brawl involving approximately 20 people.
After receiving assistance on-site from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the victim was transported to Braga Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect is on the run. The Judicial Police (PJ) is conducting an investigation.

According to the PSP, the perpetrator is part of a group of five suspects who fled and have yet to be located.
The case has been transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judicial Police.
