A fire is raging this Sunday at the Montael factory in Antanhol, as reported by the Coimbra City Council on social media, urging local residents to keep windows and doors closed.
The blaze has also resulted in the temporary closure of the IC2 highway in both directions.
“The Municipal Civil Protection Service and the Coimbra Fire Brigade, supported by other entities, are monitoring the situation on site,” the statement reads.
The alert was issued at 13:10, and by 15:35, 95 personnel and 33 vehicles were present at the scene.
