
An afternoon fire broke out on Tuesday at the Academia Almadense, situated on Rua Capitão Leitão in Almada.
The Almada Fire Department and the National Authority for Civil Protection (ANEPC) confirmed the information, stating that the alert was received at 3:06 PM and that the fire has been brought under control, although operations are still ongoing at the scene.
“It was a roof fire with propagation to the auditorium,” the ANEPC added.
The authority also reported that “there are no injuries to report.”
The ANEPC mentioned that 22 emergency personnel and 7 vehicles are present at the site, including units from the Almada and Cacilhas Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as officers from the Public Security Police.
