A source from the Alto Alentejo Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection reported that a fire broke out in the Arez area, with the alert issued at 17:52.
The blaze consumed an area of scrubland, pasture, and cork oaks, with no injuries or affected homes reported, they stated.
According to the sub-regional command, 129 operatives were involved in battling the flames, supported by 35 vehicles and seven aerial units.
