Five villages in the municipality of Pedrógão Grande, in the district of Leiria, are being evacuated this afternoon due to wildfires, according to the National Republican Guard.
The Leiria Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard stated that the villages of Marroquil, Torneira, Romão, Agria, and Sobreiro, all located in the Pedrógão Grande parish, are being evacuated.
The two fires currently burning through forests in Pedrógão Grande and the parish of Graça, also in Pedrógão Grande, have already reached the municipality of Sertã.
