A fire alert was issued at 7:30 p.m. for an incident on Rua Central da Capela, according to the police. It was reported that the fire “started in the garage and consumed the entire house.”
No injuries have been reported.
At 8:15 p.m., the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority’s website indicated that 19 responders were on site, supported by seven vehicles.
A municipal source informed the Lusa news agency that the municipality is ready to provide temporary housing for the two affected individuals, with the situation still being assessed as of 8:45 p.m.
