A fire erupted at a residence on Avenida 25 de Abril in Alto Alentejo, according to the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command. The alert was triggered at 01:50, and the residence was completely consumed by flames, which firefighters extinguished approximately 30 minutes later.
The home had a single resident, a woman, who sustained injuries and was transported by firefighters to the emergency department at Portalegre hospital.
The rescue operation involved 16 personnel, including elements from the Campo Maior Firefighters, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), and the GNR. They were supported by seven vehicles, which featured an emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle and a life-support ambulance.
