A fire on a truck loaded with timber caused traffic disruption on the National Road (EN) 121, connecting the Port of Sines to Beja, Portugal. The road was closed at 08:00 in the Beringel area, Beja, as confirmed by a civil protection official.
The alert was raised at 06:48, and no injuries were reported, according to the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Regional Command of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC).
As of 08:00, 20 personnel from various fire departments were at the scene, supported by seven vehicles.
