
A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in the municipality of Abrantes, mobilizing 190 personnel and seven aircraft, as reported by the Civil Protection.
According to the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Médio Tejo, the fire was reported at 3:29 PM in Água Travessa, in the Abrantes municipality, Santarém district.
As of 5:09 PM, 190 emergency personnel, supported by seven aircraft and 51 vehicles, were battling the blaze, which has only one active front, according to the same source.
“The flames seem to be yielding to the measures, but the fire is not yet under control,” explained Civil Protection.
