
A fire broke out in a three-story building in Bragança around 6:50 AM, causing significant damage. The fire, which began on the ground floor, spread through the stairwell to the second floor, resulting in extensive damage due to smoke, flames, heat, and combustion gases, as explained by Carlos Martins, the commander of Bragança’s fire brigade.
Martins confirmed that there were no injuries.
The building’s four residents, aged between 25 and 60, will be staying with relatives.
Sixteen firefighters responded to the incident, supported by two fire engines, a tank vehicle, an ambulance, and a command car.
