A source from the Central Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command reported that the fire consumed an area of pine trees, eucalyptus, pasture, and brush, with the alert given at 2:13 PM.
Two firefighters were treated on-site due to exhaustion, and no houses were affected, the source added.
The firefighting effort involved 159 personnel, supported by 56 vehicles and seven aircraft.
