The fire is consuming brushland in an area that is difficult to access, compounded by windy conditions.
The blaze is burning with “medium intensity,” according to the ANEPC.

The fire started at 01:20 and spread with two fronts, one heading towards Spain.
The Spanish news agency EFE reported that authorities from both Portugal and Spain are in contact to combat the fire, which is burning “with great intensity” at the Galician border.
