
At 8:15 this morning, 258 personnel were on site, supported by 87 vehicles and one aerial unit, as per information available on the official website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC).
The fire broke out at 2:30 pm on Friday in the Union of Parishes of Carva and Vilares, advancing to the Asnela area, then dividing on the mountain ridge towards Perafita and Fiolhoso.
On Friday afternoon, the wind hampered efforts, with up to 14 aerial units deployed to tackle the two active fronts, one of which was burning intensely towards the village of Fiolhoso and the other towards Perafita in the municipality of Alijó.
