A fire in Algueirão-Mem Martins, Sintra, is engaging more than 100 emergency personnel early this Wednesday afternoon.
The fire broke out “near buildings” but “there are no houses in danger,” according to a source from the Greater Lisbon Emergency and Civil Protection Command speaking to Notícias ao Minuto.
The same source stated that “there are no roads closed” and that the flames are “yielding to the means.”
The alert was raised at 1:06 PM, and nearly an hour later, 115 personnel, 29 vehicles, and a helicopter are on the scene.
