A truck fire has disrupted traffic on the A2 motorway heading north to south at kilometer 171 near Castro Verde, on Monday afternoon, confirmed by the Baixo Alentejo Civil Protection authority.
The truck was carrying old agricultural machinery and, as of 3:00 PM, the incident was in the overhaul phase, with no injuries reported.
BCR – Brisa Concessão Rodoviária, the entity responsible for the highway, expressed gratitude for the cooperation and understanding of the road users.
The alert for the incident was issued at 1:58 PM.
At the scene, there are 17 personnel supported by eight vehicles.
