A fire broke out around 9:00 PM on Saturday in a mountainous area in Pedrulhos, Montaria parish, Viana do Castelo.
The teams have begun demobilizing, although as of 9:47 AM, about 40 firefighters and 14 vehicles remained on the scene for mop-up operations, according to the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC).
