Fire in Vimioso subdued

The Sub-Regional Commander of Emergency and Civil Protection Terras de Trás-os-Montes said today that 90% of the perimeter of the fire that broke out at the end of the morning in the municipality of Vimioso, in the district of Bragança, is stabilized.

“At this time [22:45] the fire that broke out in Argozelo is stabilized, but we still have several hot spots and some scattered spots that will require consolidation work throughout the night,” said João Noel Afonso.

The fire that broke out at the end of the morning in Argozelo, in the municipality of Vimioso, at the end of the afternoon had two active fronts that came to worry the firefighters, namely one that was heading towards the village of Vale de Pena, being practically “dominated” at that time.
