A large fire is raging in Lordelo, in the municipality of Paredes.
The alert for the fire was given around 14.40 hours and the flames are consuming a hill area, next to the Lordelo Stadium, near some houses that, to what the JN found, are not in danger.
The flames forced the A42 to be cut in both directions, near the Seroa node in Paços de Ferreira. The fire is being fought by about seven dozen operatives, supported by 19 ground resources and a firefighting helicopter.
On site are the fire departments of Lordelo, Paredes, Coimbrões, Matosinhos Leça, Leça do Balio, Moreira da Maia.
