
A fire broke out on Monday in Monte da Arrabaça, in the Capelins parish, with the alert issued at 12:49 PM, according to an official from the Alentejo Central Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
Seven firefighters were attended to at the scene, and four were transported to the Basic Emergency Service (SUB) of the Estremoz Health Center, also in the Évora district, all due to exhaustion, the official stated.
The fire affected an area of scrubland, pasture, straw bales, and olive trees, with no residences impacted, added the source.
A total of 140 personnel were involved in combating the fire, supported by 44 vehicles and six air assets.
