A security perimeter is being established to prevent a fire from reaching residential areas, as confirmed by the Douro Sub-Regional Command. Currently, 83 personnel from various firefighting departments are combating the blaze with the support of 22 vehicles and five aerial units.
The fire is active on two fronts, one of which is beginning to respond to the firefighting efforts, according to the source.
