
A fire broke out on Thursday in a building in Alcântara, Lisbon, with at least 30 firefighters battling the flames as of 11:50 PM.
The Lisbon Fire Brigade reported that the alarm was raised at 9:22 PM, and the fire is believed to have started in a shop within the building.
By the time firefighters arrived, nearby residents who noticed substantial smoke had already evacuated the premises.
The building is situated on Rua Luís de Camões, necessitating the closure of this street as well as Lusíadas and 1.º de Maio streets. No injuries have been reported so far.
At the scene, there are at least 30 personnel from the Lisbon Fire Brigade.
