
The eleven members of the Fundão fire brigade, detained on Tuesday, November 25th, on suspicion of committing a sexual assault against a 19-year-old, have been informed of the coercive measures against them. They have been placed under the Term of Identity and Residence.
Additionally, the suspects are prohibited from approaching the victim and are required to periodically report to the authorities.
“In addition to the Term of Identity and Residence already provided, they are prohibited from contacting the victim by any means, directly or through a third party, forbidden from staying at or approaching the victim’s residence and workplace within 500 meters, prohibited from contacting other defendants and witnesses in the case, and prohibited from entering and frequenting the Fundão fire station,” stated Ana Soares, the Justice officer, to journalists.
