Fires break out in yard and dwelling in Bairro Padre Cruz in Lisbon

Two fires broke out on Wednesday in a backyard and an abandoned house in the Padre Cruz neighborhood in Lisbon, as confirmed by the Lisbon Fire Department.

According to the same source, both fires occurred on Rua Rio Lena. The first alert was given at 3:44 PM, and upon arrival, the “operatives encountered another fire,” leading them to split their resources.

One of the fires occurred in an abandoned house, while the other was in a backyard, affecting approximately 50 square meters.

Both fires have now been extinguished.

A total of eight vehicles and 30 operatives from the Lisbon Fire Department were present at the scenes, along with the Public Security Police (PSP).

The causes of the incidents are not yet known.
