Authorities from the Alto Alentejo Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection reported that a fire broke out in the Coutada das Freiras area, in the parish of Fortios, with an alert issued at 2:38 PM.
As of 4:30 PM, information available on the Civil Protection’s official website indicated that the fire was being tackled by 89 personnel, supported by 24 vehicles and two aerial units.
