According to the Prime Minister, who spoke during a briefing following a Council of Ministers meeting dedicated to wildfires in Viseu, this is one of several measures included in a new “legislative instrument” approved today by the PSD/CDS-PP government, which will “function as a framework law” for similar emergency situations.
No timelines were provided for when the measures will take effect or if they will have retroactive impacts.
