In a statement sent to the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM) before the market opened, EDP announced that EDP Brasil has “entered into a purchase and sale agreement with the Eden Fundo de Investimento em Participações, managed by Actis, for the sale of the entire EDP Transmissão Litoral Sul (Lot Q) transmission line.”
The company added that the total consideration amounts to 510 million reais, equivalent to 81 million euros, noting that the transaction is still subject to regulatory and usual conditions for this type of operations.
The transmission line extends 135 kilometers and has an annual permitted revenue of 66 million reais (10.5 million euros).
The company stated that this transaction aligns with its asset rotation strategy for transmission activities in Brazil, as outlined in EDP’s Business Plan, and the total consideration “represents a multiple of 1.6 times the invested equity, net of dividends received.”
