A vessel collided this morning with the north breakwater in São Jacinto, in the municipality and district of Aveiro, resulting in five minor injuries, according to civil protection sources.
The five crew members were treated on land by the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), and the vessel sank, added sources from the Sub-Regional Command of the Aveiro Region.
The alert was raised at 5:06 AM.
By 6:30 AM, there were 15 responders on-site, including firefighters, two maritime police vessels, the Institute for Lifeboat Services, and INEM, supported by five land vehicles.
