
“There are villages north of the fire, including Seixas, being impacted by the flames, and security forces are implementing necessary measures. These may involve confining residents to their villages or evacuating them,” Nuno Seixas told the Lusa news agency.
The on-site commander added that the affected areas include Rio de Mel, Rio de Moinhos, Venda do Cepo, and Celintrão, located in the municipality of Trancoso, Guarda district.
