FlixBus has 150,000 tickets for less than €3 (yes, you read that right). Here are the routes

A transportation company, FlixBus, announced a promotional campaign on Monday, offering 150,000 tickets priced between 1.99 euros and 2.99 euros. The promotion runs until September 10 and applies to domestic travel between September 15 and October 26.

“September traditionally brings increased financial pressures for many Portuguese families due to back-to-school expenses. To support them during this time, FlixBus is launching a promotional campaign with 150,000 reduced-price tickets,” stated Tiago Cavaco Alves, operations director of FlixBus in Portugal, in a statement.

The objective of this campaign is to enable students and families to continue traveling comfortably, sustainably, and economically at the end of summer, easing the financial impact of returning to school.

The promotion covers the entire domestic network of the German operator, which offers more than 350 connections in over 70 destinations across Portugal.

Featured destinations in this promotion include Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Faro, Viseu, Santarém, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Sintra, Covilhã, Albufeira, Lagos, and Cascais.

Sustainable and Economical Alternative

The same statement from FlixBus highlights that long-distance bus travel is increasingly becoming an alternative to car travel, not only for being more sustainable and equally comfortable but also because a bus trip can cost up to ten times less than a car trip while taking almost the same amount of time. Currently, they represent one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility options.

Operating in Portugal since 2017, FlixBus has introduced a new way of traveling in the Portuguese market, one that is more comfortable, economical, and sustainable. The green buses that run FlixBus lines are new, more comfortable, with extra legroom. They offer free Wi-Fi and onboard entertainment services, and all buses are equipped with sockets for laptops, mobiles, and tablets. The buses comply with the Euro VI standard, the most stringent in Europe for CO2 emissions, making them the most efficient and sustainable on the market.
