Four emergency services closed on Saturday and three on Sunday

The Gynaecology and Obstetrics emergency departments at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada (Setúbal) and Infante Dom Pedro in Aveiro will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

The emergency services at the District Hospital of Santarém will also be closed, but only on Saturday, while the Obstetrics emergencies at São Francisco Xavier Hospital in Lisbon will close on both days. The Gynaecology emergencies at São Francisco Xavier will be referenced between 00h00 and 24h00 on Saturday and Sunday.

For emergencies reserved for cases referenced by the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) or the SNS 24 line, the portal (https://www.sns.gov.pt/servicos-de-urgencia-sns/) indicates the pediatric services at Amadora-Sintra, between 00h00 and 24h00 on both days.

Also referenced are the Gynaecology and Obstetrics emergencies at the hospitals in Vila Franca de Xira (Lisbon), on Saturday from 00h00 to 09h00; Santo André (Leiria), from 00h00 to 24h00 on both days, and São Bernardo (Setúbal), between 00h00 and 08h00 on Sunday.

The pediatric emergencies at Beatriz Ângelo Hospital in Loures (Lisbon) and Vila Franca de Xira will also be referenced, between 00h00 and 24h00 on both days.

Health authorities urge the public to contact the SNS24 Line (808 24 24 24) for appropriate guidance before heading to an emergency service.
