The ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal website has announced the cancellation of two arrivals and two departures between midnight and noon today, also noting that five flights from Lisbon, London, and Manchester were diverted.
ANA warns that weather forecasts predict adverse conditions that may affect operations (departures and arrivals) today and advises passengers to confirm flight status before heading to the airport.
Although the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has not issued any warnings for the archipelago, the wind in the Santa Cruz area, where Madeira International Airport is located, is impacting operations.
