The Obstetrics emergency department of Portimão Hospital is closed, as are the Obstetrics and Gynecology emergencies at Nossa Senhora do Rosário Hospital in Barreiro, the District Hospital of Caldas da Rainha, and Infante Dom Pedro Hospital in Aveiro, according to data checked this morning at 08:30.
The SNS portal indicated Friday that Portimão Hospital’s Obstetrics emergency would be open, but the information has since changed, and the service is now closed. In Setúbal, the same portal stated that the Obstetrics and Gynecology emergency would be closed today, but it is currently operational.
Regarding the referenced emergencies, which only accept cases referred by the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) or the SNS 24 hotline, it is noted that the Obstetrics and Gynecology emergencies of Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada are running from 08:30 to 20:30, Amadora/Sintra Hospital from 08:00 to 00:00, Braga Hospital from 08:00 to 20:00, Vila Franca de Xira from 00:00 to 24:00, Santarém from 00:00 to 08:30, and Santo André Hospital in Leiria from 00:00 to 24:00.
Pediatric emergencies at Amadora/Sintra Hospital, Vila Franca de Xira, and Beatriz Ângelo Hospital in Loures, all operating around the clock, are also functioning today with referrals.
Health authorities urge the public to contact the SNS24 line (808 24 24 24) for proper guidance before visiting an emergency room.
