The program of the XXV Constitutional Government was presented on the morning of Tuesday, June 17, at the Assembly of the Republic, with an opening address by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.
The debate covered several topics, including State reform, Immigration, and Defense, with contributions from various ministers of the new Government.
Wednesday, June 18, is scheduled for the closing session, consisting of approximately two hours of interventions from the parties (this time in ascending order) and the Government, followed by the vote on the Communist Party’s motion of rejection of the document, which the Socialist Party and Chega have already stated they will block.
Only after the Government’s program is considered, and its rejection is not upheld, will the XXV Constitutional Government, which took office on June 5, fully assume its functions.
