From soccer to martial arts: Cristiano Ronaldo invests in a new business

WOW FC reports significant growth across all demographic segments, with event attendance increasing by over 400% annually and ticket sales exceeding 5,000 spectators per event.

Internationally, WOW has organized events in more than 170 countries, aiming to establish itself as “one of the most dynamic emerging forces in combat sports,” according to company information.

“MMA represents values I truly believe in: discipline, respect, resilience, and the constant pursuit of excellence. WOW FC is building something unique and powerful, and I am proud to join this project to help elevate the sport and inspire the next generation,” stated Cristiano Ronaldo in a press release.

WOW FC emphasizes that it shares the “fundamental principles that defined Cristiano Ronaldo’s career: discipline, dedication, effort, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence — values that are ‘inherently linked to CR7’ and central to WOW’s culture.”

The organization also states that Ronaldo’s role will be “organic and active,” helping to expand MMA as “a catalyst to improve the lives of millions of people.”

Cristiano Ronaldo joins current major shareholder WOW and world champion Ilia Topuria, a professional mixed martial arts fighter.

The investment amount the Portuguese footballer will make in WOW has not been disclosed.
