
The municipal co-funding program for medication costs is set to approve 177 processes, amounting to an investment of 42,400 euros. This initiative plays a vital role in ensuring access to medications for economically vulnerable residents, according to an official statement from the municipality.
During the executive committee’s weekly meeting scheduled for Thursday, the approval of 18 new applications for Family and Natality support, totalling 5,516 euros, will also be covered.
The statement further highlights the planned approval of 32 processes under the Municipal Rent Subsidy, a crucial tool to support families in financial distress in securing housing. This initiative involves a total expenditure of 52,975 euros. Additionally, the committee will discuss awarding scholarships to 16 higher education students, totalling 12,100 euros.
The executive board of the Funchal City Council is composed of six members from the PSD/CDS-PP coalition and five non-executive members from the Confiança coalition, led by the Socialist Party.
