
General Amadeu Garcia dos Santos, a military figure involved in the April 25, 1974 revolution and a former Chief of the Army Staff, has died at the age of 89, confirmed by a military source.
The Army source stated that Garcia dos Santos, known as a “Captain of April” and communications expert, passed away at home.
Amadeu Garcia dos Santos held roles as Secretary of State in the First Provisional Government, Chief of the Army Staff, and President of the former Autonomous Road Board (JAE).
