Get ready! Rain with “above average values” is expected next week.

The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts rainfall for every day of the upcoming week with the “total weekly precipitation” potentially reaching “above-average values.”

Across mainland Portugal, rain is expected to persist throughout the week across all districts.

However, in Lisbon, showers are anticipated to be light on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, becoming more intense on Monday and Friday.

In Porto, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday are projected by IPMA to experience the heaviest rainfall.

In Alentejo, heavy rain is only expected on Monday, while the following days will likely see sun and light showers. In the Algarve, the rainfall is predicted to be more intense on Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to dip slightly across the continent, with “below-normal values,” ranging from 11 degrees for the minimum to 18 degrees for the maximum.

In Madeira, rain is also forecasted at the start of the week, with light showers predicted for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

In the Azores, rain is expected on Monday and Wednesday, although Tuesday will likely remain partly cloudy without showers.
