A 50-year-old man was arrested by the National Republican Guard (GNR) last Wednesday, July 30, in the municipality of Santa Marta de Penaguião for drug trafficking.
In a statement, GNR reported that during a patrol in São João de Lobrigos, a “vehicle, whose occupant displayed suspicious behavior,” was approached.
“Given the evidence, police procedures were triggered, which determined that the individual was in possession of illegal substances,” it stated.
Authorities seized 122 doses of crack and 42 doses of heroin from the suspect.
The detainee was charged, and the case was referred to the Judicial Court of Peso da Régua.
