The ‘Moto IV’ Operation, commencing today and concluding on Sunday, aims to reduce road accidents, ensure the safety of vehicle circulation, enforce road regulations, and support all road users, as stated by the GNR in a communiqué. The operation will focus on the access routes to the Vidigueira municipality, where the ’25th Vidigueira Motorcycle Gathering’ is taking place.
The GNR will concentrate on patrolling and scrutinizing the access routes to the municipality of Vidigueira, in Beja district, due to the ’25th Vidigueira Motorcycle Gathering’ occurring from today to Sunday, with a notable increase in traffic expected.
“Motorcycle drivers are considered a high-risk group because accident outcomes are typically more severe, given their lower protection capacity in case of a collision or skidding,” the GNR highlights in the statement.
