A source from the National Republican Guard (GNR) reported that following a tip-off regarding several individuals living in inadequate conditions in a local residence, a patrol was dispatched to the area. Upon noticing the presence of the patrol, the men fled on foot.
Subsequently, GNR officers from Beja apprehended the individuals in that municipality. None of them were able to justify their stay in national territory, the source noted.
The detainees were taken to the Judiciary Police in Lisbon for identification, added the GNR source.
