The National Republican Guard (GNR) announced that a suspect was detained Friday in Vila Nova de Milfontes by Odemira’s Territorial Detachment.
Officers were conducting a patrol operation and “approached a vehicle whose driver showed signs of nervousness and suspicious behavior.”
During the subsequent police procedures, the GNR conducted a personal security search on the suspect, a vehicle search, and later a house search.
This operation led to the seizure of 120 doses of cocaine, 84 doses of hashish, and three doses of crack.
Additionally, authorities seized 745 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, a replica firearm, five knives, 125 euros in cash, two digital precision scales, and a mobile phone.
The detainee is expected to appear today before the Odemira Judicial Court for the application of coercive measures.
The action was reinforced by the Territorial Posts of Colos and Vila Nova de Milfontes and the Criminal Investigation Unit (NIC) of Odemira, part of the Beja Territorial Command of the GNR.
