The National Republican Guard (GNR) identified on Friday 69 individuals “living in precarious conditions” in a warehouse in Cadaval, Lisbon district.
This identification occurred following a report describing the presence of several individuals living in substandard conditions in a warehouse, allegedly used as labor.
Through various police procedures, GNR officers also “located and identified the owner of the said premises.”
During the operation, which identified 69 citizens aged between 16 and 24, an “official notice for illegal labor recruitment, a notice for the use of foreign citizens’ labor in illegal situations, and seven notices for illegal stay in national territory” were issued.
Additionally, an environmental violation notice was issued for “illegal discharge into a watercourse.”
The facts were reported to the Judicial Court of Alenquer.
